CoDrone EDU
CoDrone EDU from Robolink is a small, programmable drone designed for teaching coding and engineering in schools. Students can write programs in block-based Blockly or text-based Python, moving from simple flight commands to projects that read sensor data and react to the environment. It can be programmed from Chromebook, macOS and Windows computers with a USB port, with Python supported on macOS and Windows. The drone carries seven programmable sensors: an accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, front and bottom range sensors, a color sensor and an optical flow sensor, along with programmable LEDs and sound. Its Smart Controller has an LCD screen that shows live sensor readings. A flexible, protective frame helps it withstand classroom bumps, and most parts, including propellers, motors and frames, can be replaced. The drone weighs about 55 g and flies for roughly 7 to 8 minutes per battery. Each kit includes the drone, a Smart Controller, two rechargeable batteries with a dual charger, a micro USB cable, spare propellers and a removal tool, a screwdriver, a quickstart guide and eight color landing pads. Up to ten drones can fly in the same space, which suits group lessons.
