    Technic Distance Sensor

The LEGO® Technic™ Distance Sensor uses sound waves to measure how far away objects are, across a range of 1 to 200 cm with an accuracy of about ±1 cm. This gives students consistent, repeatable readings for robots that detect obstacles, follow objects or take measurements. Programmable LED "eyes" let students add expression and feedback to their builds. The sensor also includes an integrated 6-pin, industry-standard interface for connecting third-party sensors, boards and DIY hardware, which suits more advanced maker projects. Its simple form factor makes it quick to build into models and swap between projects. The sensor is compatible with the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime and SPIKE™ Essential Sets and can serve as a spare or additional sensor.

  • Grades 1–3Grades 4–5Grades 6–8

    Technic Color Sensor

The LEGO® Technic™ Colour Sensor lets student-built robots recognise colours and measure light. It detects colours and measures the intensity of reflected white light as well as ambient light, across conditions from darkness to bright sunlight. A 100 Hz sampling rate delivers consistent, accurate data, which helps with tasks such as line following, sorting objects by colour and running light-level experiments that need repeatable results. The sensor has a simple form factor for quick building and rebuilding, and is compatible with the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime and SPIKE™ Essential Sets. Schools can use it as a replacement or to add extra sensing to student projects.

  • Grades 1–3Grades 4–5Grades 6–8

    Technic Force Sensor

The LEGO® Technic™ Force Sensor measures pushing force of up to 10 newtons (roughly 1 kg), giving students accurate, repeatable readings they can use in experiments and in robots that respond to pressure. It also doubles as a touch sensor, recognising when it is pressed, released or bumped. This makes it handy for buttons, bumpers and collision detection in student-designed robots and interactive models. With a simple form factor that is quick to build in and rebuild, the sensor is compatible with the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime and SPIKE™ Essential Sets, and can be used as a replacement part or to expand what students can build.

    Technic Small Hub Battery

The LEGO® Technic™ Small Hub Battery is a replacement or spare power pack for the Technic Small Hub, the programmable controller at the heart of the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential Set. Keeping a spare on hand means a classroom can swap in a charged battery and keep students building and coding instead of waiting for a hub to recharge. The battery uses lithium-ion polymer cells with a capacity of 620 mAh. It can be charged while it is still installed in the hub using a micro USB cable, and it can be taken out of the hub without any tools when it needs to be replaced or stored. It is intended for primary-age learners working with SPIKE Essential, and is a practical item for teachers who manage several hubs across multiple classes. LEGO® Education lists this product as retired, so availability may depend on remaining stock from local resellers.

    SPIKE™ Prime Spare Part Box

The SPIKE™ Prime Spare Part Box (sold by LEGO® Education as the SPIKE™ Prime Replacement Pack, 2000719) is a refill of building elements for the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Prime Set (45678). It contains over 100 LEGO Technic™ and System elements, helping teachers restore sets after pieces go missing during busy lessons. Because SPIKE Prime builds depend on specific beams, connectors, axles and other parts, a single missing element can stop a group from completing a model. Keeping a replacement pack in the classroom lets students finish their robots and focus on the engineering and coding tasks rather than searching for pieces. The pack is aimed at middle-school classrooms (Grades 6-8) using SPIKE Prime, and it is useful for schools running the set across several classes or years. LEGO® Education lists this item as retired, so supply may depend on remaining reseller stock.

    SPIKE™ Essential Spare Part Box

The SPIKE™ Essential Spare Part Box (sold by LEGO® Education as the SPIKE™ Essential Replacement Pack 1, 2000722) restocks the LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential Set (45345). It provides 97 of the LEGO® elements that are used most often in the set's builds. Younger students working in groups can easily misplace small pieces, and a missing part can hold up a whole activity. With this pack on hand, teachers can quickly replace what is lost so that students keep moving through their building, coding and storytelling lessons without long interruptions. The pack is intended for primary classrooms that use SPIKE Essential, and it is especially helpful when the same sets are shared by several classes. LEGO® Education lists this item as retired, so availability may depend on remaining stock from local resellers.

    VEX 123 Robot Kit

The VEX 123 Robot Kit is a single-robot kit for early learners, from Pre-K through the early primary grades. It includes one 123 Robot in red, green or blue, a 123 Coder, a robot art ring, a USB-C charging cable and a 50-pack of English Coder Cards. Children can program the robot in three progressively richer ways. First they press the touch buttons on top of the robot to build movement and sound sequences. Next they slot Coder Cards into the Coder to create programs away from tablets and computers. Finally they use VEXcode 123, a drag-and-drop block environment powered by Scratch, on tablets, Chromebooks, Mac or Windows. The robot has an internal rechargeable lithium iron cell that charges over USB-C in about 1.5 hours and is designed to last a full classroom day, while the Coder runs on two AAA batteries. Teachers can use VEX STEM Labs lessons, and an optional 123 Field provides a defined play space for activities.

    VEX 123 Classroom Bundle – Small / Medium / Large (6 / 12 / 18 robots)

The VEX 123 Classroom Bundle packages everything needed to run VEX 123 with a full class of young learners. It comes in three sizes: Small (248-7355) with 6 robots for about 12 students, Medium (248-7820) with 12 robots for about 24 students, and Large (248-7821) with 18 robots for about 36 students. The Small bundle includes 6 123 Robots, 6 Coders, 7 packs of Coder Cards, 3 fields (each with 4 tiles and 8 walls), a 6-port USB robot charge case, a Coder storage case, a tote bag, a Coder Cards storage box, robot art rings, a screwdriver and a USB charger; larger bundles scale these quantities up. Students code the robots by touch, with Coder Cards, or in VEXcode 123, building skills in sequencing, logic and problem solving. The fields give groups a shared play space, and the cases keep robots charged and organized between lessons. Bundles come with access to VEXcode, STEM Labs curriculum and the STEM Library.

    VEX GO Robot Kit

The VEX GO Robot Kit (VEX GO Education Kit with Storage, 269-6705) is a single-robot construction system designed for elementary students in Grades 3-5. Students build models from color-coded beams, plates, gears, pulleys, wheels and pins, then bring them to life with a Brain, a battery, a switch, three motors, an Eye Sensor, an LED Bumper and an electromagnet. Builds are programmed with VEXcode GO, a block-based coding environment, and the kit is supported by standards-aligned STEM Labs, the STEM Library, build instructions and printable classroom resources. Students explore engineering and design thinking, coding and computational thinking, physical science, and math and data in project-based activities. Parts arrive pre-sorted in clear-lidded, stackable storage, which keeps classroom setup and clean-up simple. The battery uses rechargeable lithium iron cells, charges via USB-C in about 2.5 hours and is designed to last a full classroom day. No prior robotics experience is needed to start teaching.
